Claudia Alanis, MEd, LPC

We all experience times in our lives where we need a person to talk to who is nonjudgemental and supportive. I am passionate about improving the overall quality of life in families, children and individuals and it would be my honor to work side by side with you toward self-fulfillment, personal growth and help you in gaining skills for managing stress, anxiety, depression and trauma.

I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, with extensive experience working with children and their families suffering from the effects of trauma. Over the years I have come to understand that fear is the root of so many of the problems that we face. Consequently, I have received specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and will soon complete my certification.

I have also worked in the public schools for over 25 years as a teacher, school counselor, principal, and district administrator. While I can assist you in addressing a wide range of emotional and relational problems, I feel especially equipped to help you and your children navigate the laws, rules, and opportunities in your educational environment.

Counseling is a uniquely personal journey.  It would be my honor to share in your journey––to help you achieve your life goals, overcome barriers, and find meaning in a world of uncertainty.
