Raul Sanchez, MEd, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Dr. Gregory Scott Sparrow, EdD, LPC-S
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, eventually graduating with a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley, I experienced life as a typical young person facing many of the same issues others face today. The extensive experience accrued while working at UTRGV while obtaining my education, plus leading a growing church in this town, will aid me in helping others to bring about significant positive changes. I specialize in resolving depression and anxiety, and tackling family problems such as infidelity, loss of intimacy, child rearing, midlife crisis, and communication problems. The types of theory I use include Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Eclectic, Existential, Family/Marital, and Family Systems.
