Oscar Higareda, MA, LPC

I am glad you are considering taking brave steps to explore personal growth or seeking clarity for things that don't feel quite right. I would be honored for you to allow me to be a part of your journey.

I have a Master of Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M International University. As a bilingual counselor, I have experience working with Spanish-speaking clients, regardless of age or gender. I work with individuals working on all sorts of things, from minor lifestyle adjustments, relationship struggles to severe mood and anxiety disorders. I am passionate about working with couples to help process any past hurts and learn to become more vulnerable through an attachment approach, which involves exploring the history and current relationship dynamics to identify patterns that help build understanding and acceptance within the relationship. In addition, I have experience working with individual clients on anxiety, depression, trauma, and life challenges.

As a client, you will be receiving therapy from a holistic approach with incorporated concepts of Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I focus on the value and belief that people should be validated, connected, and made to feel significant. I also believe each person has what it takes to overcome their hurts and live the best life possible.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, reading, exercising, and traveling. I attempt to get out of my comfort zone and try to do one new thing once a month.
