Beverly Wooden, MS, , LCDC-I, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Dr. Gregory Scott Sparrow, EdD, LPC-S

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I) in the state of Texas, with a passion for supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness, balance, and resilience. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University and completed my Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Addiction Counseling at Texas Tech University.

In 2024, I was honored to be selected by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) as a Minority Fellowship Scholar, recognizing my commitment to advancing equitable access to mental health care and supporting underserved communities.

I have experience working in both nonprofit and private practice settings, providing individual counseling and facilitating therapeutic groups. I work with teens and adults facing concerns such as anxiety, life transitions, body image challenges, substance use, and performance related stress, as well as those managing chronic illness and eating disorders. My work is grounded in a deep respect for each client’s lived experience and their capacity for change.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and flexible, guided by the belief that there is no one size fits all path to healing. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Existential approaches, integrating these frameworks based on each client’s goals, values, and needs. I am also trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and mindfulness practices, emphasizing safety, connection, and whole-person wellness throughout the therapeutic process.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. You are the expert of your own story, and my role is to walk alongside you as you work toward clarity, healing, and self-trust.

Areas of focus include:
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Addiction and recovery
  • Life transitions and adjustment concerns
  • Body image and self-esteem
  • Chronic illness
  • Eating disorders
  • Athletic performance counseling
Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy Pilates, traveling, and spending time with my two Mini Schnauzers, who continually remind me of the importance of presence, play, and connection.

I would be honored to support you as you take steps toward balance, growth, and meaningful change, and I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
My physical office is 20 minutes north of Ft. Worth. Otherwise, I am available via Zoom.
